Cooler Electricity Consumption and Solar panels For cooler

How many watts is the cooler and how many solar panels are required to run the cooler: Today one or two coolers are easily available in every house because the power consumption of the cooler and the cost of the cooler is very less compared to an air conditioner.
That is why we find coolers in almost every house. But before buying a cooler, if you find out about the cooler that how much power the cooler consumes or how much power does a cooler consume, then you can also run it on an inverter.
In summers, we face the problem of power cuts everywhere. That is why if you want to run the cooler on your inverter even during power cuts, then you will have to buy a cooler that consumes the least power so that you can run it on your inverter for as long as possible.
Apart from this, if you want to run the cooler with the help of solar panels, then you should first know how much electricity the cooler consumes in 1 day.
How many watts does a Symphony cooler consume?
We get to see coolers of many different sizes in the market, which have motors with different power consumption. If we talk about the smallest cooler, then you will get a cooler with a motor of about 150W, which if you run for 10 hours, it will consume about one and a half units of electricity.
If you want to run this cooler on a 150Ah battery, then this cooler can run for about 6 hours on one battery. But this type of cooler is used very rarely because it is suitable for a small room or a small shop. Most homes use a large cooler, which consumes about 250W of electricity. If this cooler is run for 10 hours, it will consume 2.5 units of electricity.

How many watts does the cooler motor cost
If you run a 250W cooler for about 20 hours, it will consume 5 units of electricity. So, compared to an air conditioner, a cooler consumes very less electricity.
Apart from this, you will also find large coolers with a power consumption of 750W in the market, which are used to run in large halls or outdoors. If you run this cooler for 10 hours, it will consume 7.5 units of electricity.
How many watts does the cooler motor weigh
As mentioned above, we get to see coolers in different wattages. But how many watts of power the cooler will consume depends on its motor, as well as its size. If you buy a cooler with 40~50 litre capacity, then you get it with a motor of about 100W~150W.
If you buy a cooler with 80~100 liter capacity, then you will get it with a motor of around 200W~250W. Similarly, if you buy a cooler with 200~250 liter capacity, then you will get it with a motor of up to 500W750W.
The bigger the motor of the cooler you buy, the farther and more air it will throw. This means that you will use a cooler with a bigger motor for a larger room.
How many solar panels are needed to run a cooler
We can never run a cooler directly from a solar panel. If you use a DC cooler, you will need a battery and a solar charge controller to run it from this solar panel & If you want to run an AC cooler on a solar panel, you will need a solar inverter and a battery.
If you have a cooler with 250W power consumption in your house, which you run for about 10 hours, due to which it consumes 2.5 units of electricity, then to get 2.5 units of electricity from the solar panel, you will have to install two solar panels of 330W. If you want to install a bigger solar panel, then you can also install a 575W solar panel.
Similarly, if you have more than one cooler in your house or have coolers with high power consumption, then first of all you have to find out the 24-hour power consumption of those coolers.
If your cooler uses 4 units of electricity in 24 hours, you will need a 1 kW solar panel. If the cooler uses 8 to 10 units of electricity in 24 hours, you will need a 2 kW solar panel.
The least power consuming cooler
Less Electricity Consuming Cooler: If you want to buy a cooler that consumes the least electricity for your home, then you will have to buy a cooler with BLDC motor. In the market, you will find BLDC coolers that consume up to 85W of electricity, but their price is much higher than AC coolers.
That is why you should use these coolers only when you have to run the cooler for about 20 hours every day. Because coolers with BLDC motor will run for a long time, only then you will save more money.
Can I run a cooler using an inverter?
Well, we can run the cooler on any inverter because most of the houses have a cooler that consumes up to 250W of power, which you can easily run on a battery inverter. But how long this cooler will run will depend on your battery, how many Ah battery you have used with the inverter.
You can run a 250W cooler on a 150Ah battery for about four hours. If you have to run the cooler for 8 to 10 hours, then you will have to install two 150Ah batteries. But if you want to run the cooler only for 8 to 10 hours a day, then by installing two 200W solar panels with a 150Ah battery, you can easily run a cooler for the whole day.
